Joel A. Shirey
Joel joined GMS Planning (formerly Grillo & Associates) in 2007 as an assistant to help service client accounts. During his tenure with the firm and with John’s guidance, Joel has learned the importance and impact financial planning can have on a client’s life. He enjoys utilizing all aspects of financial planning and working directly with clients to help them achieve their financial goals.
Joel earned his degree in finance from the University of West Georgia, where he graduated magna cum laude. He currently holds the following securities and insurance licenses: FINRA Series 7 and 66; as well as life, accident, and sickness.
Joel lives in Carrollton, Georgia, with his wife, Allison, and their daughters, Amelia and Melanie. He serves as a Deacon at Tabernacle Baptist Church and is active in the Youth and Men’s Ministries. In his free time, he enjoys working in his vegetable garden or supporting his daughters at their many activities
